Hi all! Holiday season is upon us (no snow yet, though!) and I'm busy scurrying all over, trying to finish up finals and prepare to leave for England! Yep, it'll be my first time not spending Christmas at home, but it's London, so I'm not too bummed.
This is a "mini" gift guide in the sense that it's a small collection of items and each of these could probably work as a stocking stuffer! I wanted to recommend gifts that I actually have - either ones I've received, given, or plan on giving.
1. Silver and Rose Gold iPhone USB Cables - My dad always complains about his cords bending and breaking and the one I had always used from Apple recently bit the dust, too. These cables are high-quality (wrapped in stronger material so they won't break!), lengthy, and oh so chic in these colors. I caved and bought the rose gold one for myself. It's just so pretty.
2. EOS products - Everyone and their brother has at least one of these babies. Give the gift of unchapped lips or soft hands during the cold winter season. EOS also has a lot of holiday specials and bundles available now too!
3. Chocolate - Okay so an obvious one. But if you're looking for melt-in-your-mouth-delicious and a variety of flavors (peanut butter, pretzels, nuts, caramel, marshmallow, nougat...) look no further than Malley's Chocolates. They're based in Ohio but they ship nationally and internationally! Best of all, you can get special holiday bundles that are pre-wrapped and totally yummy.
4. iTunes Gift Card - Another obvious one. At least try to persuade your friends and family away from illegally downloading, hm?
5. Cards Against Humanity - Apples to Apples is so last year. Get a little naughty with this addictive game and see the real sides of your relatives come out around the eggnog and cookies.
6. Dead Sea Body Cream - Oh I am all about Dead Sea products right now. I have a whole set including masks, soap, and scrubs. Start simple with a moisturizing body cream.
7. Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates - I've only started this one myself, but it's already so powerful and so, so relevant. Give this one to your social justice pals or really force it on anyone - Toni Morrison says it's "required reading" so you can't go wrong.
8. Bream Gives Me Hiccups by Jesse Eisenberg - A little on the lighter side, this collection of short humor pieces by the ever talented Jesse Eisenberg is perfect light reading for the holidays. Full of puns, inverted knock-knock jokes, and hilarious stories, this'll make anyone on your list smile.
9. Make a Donation - When all else fails, give your gift to someone who is really in need. Make a donation to a charity in the name of your family or friends. You can ask your loved ones which charity they'd most like you to support, or I'd highly recommend Worldwide Orphans Foundation which helps orphaned children around the world (and not just finacially! WWO sets up camps, helps with education, and builds communities). I also recently discovered Refuge Point, which aids and protects the world's most at-risk refugees.
Whatever you give or get, I hope your holiday season is full of love, relaxation, joy, and charity.
xoxo

Or, if your family has the same humor as mine does, might I recommend this lovely little Fart Gun:
(No, really, I bought this for my dad.)
Love this little guide! Cards Against Humanity is so fun to play in college with friends. Also, that is too funny that you bought that for your dad!! Haha, my dad has a similar sense of humor.
