The Cloisters are definitely one of my favorite places on Earth. I've only been there a handful of times (I think this last one was the third) but I can spend hours there, walking in the gardens and taking in the medieval tapestries, jewelry, and artwork. The art history nerd in me isn't the biggest medieval fan (I'd rather wander around the Whitney or the Brooklyn Museum), there's just something about the Romanesque and Gothic walls, the high ceilings, and the sturdy stone that makes me feel at peace. So of course I wore the softest, gentlest outfit I could.
I'm wishing I were back here right now! These past few weeks have been crazy with school and work, and I don't see it getting lighter any time soon. Luckily though I'm starting to plan for my vacation in August - I haven't nailed down all the details yet, but I'm pretty sure Iceland is going to be involved! I can't wait.
