Gamla stan, Södermalm, Stockholm, Sweden

Sweater: Topshop (size down!) / Shirt: J.Crew
Skirt: Target, old (similar, similar) / Boots: Topshop / Sunglasses: Karen Walker

I was super excited when I saw this Topshop sweater at the Nordstrom sale. It looked so incredibly cozy and I loved the patchwork pattern. Then I saw it was a size 2. Then I saw that it was the only one in stock. Let me tell you, the last time I wore a size 2, I probably was 2. Anyway, the point is that this sweater is crazy comfortable and way oversized, almost to the point where one size fits all.

But moving away from the superficial shopping to the sights and the strolling. For this day we took a boat to Gamla Stan, or Old Town, which encompasses its own little island. It's got the most colorful buildings and alleyways in Stockholm - including the famous "narrowest" alleyway in Europe! (I didn't even attempt to go down it.) We came across this little square and fell in love, taking cover under the big tree when an unexpected rainstorm struck. We later found out that this square - Stortorget - is known for not only being the cutest little square but also the bloodiest (due to the Stockholm Bloodbath of 1520). Don't worry - I'm pretty sure all that violent history has flowed down the cobblestones and washed down the drainpipes. (Except that gnome below was pretty gruesome...)
