Happy and bright for today! It's lovely outside, a scary sign of climate change perhaps but a welcome gift on my birthday week nonetheless. Although I am, as always, cramped with work, I was happy to steal away for lunch today and take these photos in the sunshine. Showing off my new duds in the process, of course. Yesterday was my birthday and although I'm not sure my one at the Ritz in London could ever be topped, it was still pretty wonderful. I was happy to have a chill birthday this year with cake and bowling and movies and yes, this lovely little red bag as a gift. I'd been attempting to save up my money for a J.W. Anderson bag because why wouldn't I want something that already has my initials emblazoned on it??? But when I saw this one on TheRealReal in my ideal color and hundreds of dollars off, I optimistically put it on my birthday list. Did I mean for them to match my new red Gucci loafers (that I got at a thrift store for a steal of 70 bucks, who cares if they're too small)? No, but those are the little things in life that you've just got to appreciate. Or maybe that's just me.
