As soon as I knew I was going to Hawaii this summer, I was on the hunt for two things: all of the floral prints, and a few pairs of really good shorts. The floral prints were easy, and the shorts... ended up being surprisingly easy as well! I've recently followed a slew of bloggers on Instagram who really represent a wider range of bodies. I don't know that I've ever hated my body long-term, but I get frustrated with it and with the clothing pieces or outfits that I think are off-limits to me, that I would never look good in. Shorts are hard. I really only feel confident in pants that are super high-waisted, and with shorts I'm also particular about the length. Following bloggers like Noelle (@noelledowning), Raeann (@raeannlangas), Caralyn (@carlaynmirand), and Kate (@katiesturino) has really helped me not only see positive representation of in-between sized women in shorts, but also help me find shorts that work for me! Long ramble short, Madewell hit the mark. I picked up at least four pairs of shorts in one outing, but this black pair is the standout. A great length and waist, soft, and just a solid staple in every way.
