I came downstairs in this look and my dad asked if we were going pheasant hunting. Nope, just for some milkshakes. But my British hunting look was quite effective in fact, as it rained, hailed, and snowed in succession while we took these photos. There's Ohio in October for ya. Luckily this Topshop turtleneck (which, unusually, was an unplanned buy - generally I obsess over something there beforehand) is literally the coziest sweater in the world. Seriously. It's so soft I wanna wear it to sleep in.

Also, after 22 years of unadorned ears, I finally did the deed. I hadn't seen the appeal of pierced ears for really anything except diamonds or pearls on your wedding day, but with ear jackets being all the rage, I admit I fell for the style. Plus it's very unlike me to not take advantage of every available accessory. (These are just the starter earrings, medically proofed but not exactly statement-making, but expect new baubles soon!)
