Well I guess I took a bit of a break there? Goodness knows I needed it. I already expressed my feelings about the election, but right now it's crunch time in school too, and it seems like every kid I've ever babysat had an emergency situation this past week...
Anyway, moving forward, or on to the present really, which is all about these boots. I went to the mall to get lipstick. Just lipstick, I swear. My favorite red lipstick (Revlon) broke and my mom wanted to get foundation. We did actually start out there, to our credit. It's just that the makeup section is right across from the shoes section and you can see all the Stuart Weitzman's towering over everything, begging to be tried on... And I did try on the Lowland boot, just to see what all the fuss was about, and I decided that I'm just not made for over-the-knee boots. But these rag & bone boots on the other hand were made for me. I'm talking perfect fit on the first try, buttery soft leather, so easy and comfy to walk in, a sleek but killer look...just the total package. It'll probably take me like two years to pay off these babies but I can definitely see myself wearing them like, daily, for years to come. We fashion types talk in terms of cost per wear anyway so these beauties will pay for themselves (shh that's what I'm telling myself).
