Woohoo, my first post from my travels! And appropriately classically (or stereotypically?) London next to a red phone booth and some ivy. Over my many visits to London, I had surprisingly never been to the Victoria and Albert museum! So we made that our first stop on Monday. I'd known the museuem was famous for its textiles and fabrics, and it did have an amazing fashion section, with a special exhibit on Balenciaga going on. Other than that, though, I was a bit disappointed. The museum is large and overwhelming, its collection impressive and ranging from aforementioned modern fashion pieces to ancient Turkish rugs and Renoir paintings. It was a bit all over the place, and too big for my taste. Still their outdoor gardens were lovely, with all the big blooming hydrangea!

I bought these J.Crew espadrilles specifically for the trip, hoping they'd be a comfy and chic walking around shoe. They were pretty comfy, but I didn't wear them as much as I expected to. But they're pretty dang adorable and easily paired so I'll probably get my cost-per-wear in eventually ;)

Hope you all are having a lovely summer's day! Thanks for visiting.
