miami or the midwest?

Now it really does feel like summer is taking its leave. School has started, my vacations are just photographs now, and slow days have begun to be replaced by busy schedules. I've always preferred fall to summer, but I couldn't help but get into some last-minute summer vibes with this Rosegal dress. I've never been one to wear maxi dresses, but I absolutely love the style of this one. It's not too heavy and hits at just the right length so I'm not tripping all over myself (though I did wear flatforms just to be safe...). Besides the maxi style, I also took a different direction in getting a piece that I considered a bit more "trendy." Palm leaf prints are all over right now, whether you live in Miami or the Midwest. So are straw bags. And funky colored sunglasses. So I threw em all together and made an attempt at keeping up with what is all the rage these days. Did it work? I'd give it a passing grade, and I'm certainly digging on this leaf print now. Rosegal has a ton of other cute palm leaf prints too, like this other maxi dress, this fancy skirt, this summer wedding guest getup, these crazy fun pants, and a perfect everyday dress. (For sizing reference, I'm wearing a L here and it's nice and comfy!)

How are you ending your summer in style?

  1. Love this palm print and the flatforms! I know its a trendy print but I still want more of it...just like the pineapple trend! And those flatlforms look like you could walk quite a bit in them and still be comfy. Perfect shoes, if that's the case!
